The Belleville Public Library will be hosting a Beyond the Basics genealogy series consisting of four different workshops on Thursdays in April from 10-11:30 am. The first session will be April 5, and will cover using newspapers for genealogy research. Session 2, on April 12, will cover religious records. Session 3, on April 19, will be hosted by Amanda Hill of the Hastings County Archives, who will give an overview of what the Archives can offer genealogists and give a tour of the Archives afterwards. The final session on April 26 will feature guest speaker Carol St. Clair, a handwriting expert who will help you to figure out your ancestors’ personality by analyzing their old handwriting.
